Why: To celebrate the universality of love. This series portrays conjugal
lovers from different countries in the stylized manner reminiscent of Indian
and European medieval illuminations. The ornately rendered borders are the artist's
adaptations of ethnic designs typical of the culture of the couple depicted
in each painting.

Why: To explore the primordial, magical symbolism of the tree as described
in the Arthurian Legends’ portrayal of the Tree of Life. Each work presents
a portrait of the Tree in one of its several incarnations, personifying it and
depicting visual allusions and metaphors that underscore its mystical significance
in man’s spiritual evolution.
